Dr. Bradley C. Leibovich is currently a Consultant and Professor in the Department of Urology at the Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN and serves as the Vice Chair of Clinical Practice. He received his MD from Albany Medical College and then was a resident in Surgery and Urology at Mayo Clinic. He subsequently was awarded a Mayo Foundation Scholarship and completed fellowships in Urologic Oncology at Indiana University for testicular cancer and UCLA for renal cell carcinoma.
Dr. Leibovich is the Director of the Urologic Oncology Program, the Chair of the Genitourinary Disease Oriented Group for the Mayo Clinic Cancer Center, and the Mayo Clinic liaison to the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer. Dr. Leibovich’s clinical areas of interest include surgery for management renal masses and tumor thrombi, retroperitoneal lymphadenectomy for testicular cancer and other advanced urologic malignancies. Research interests include immunobiology of renal cell carcinoma, outcome prediction, and risk stratification.
Dr. Leibovich has been inducted into the teacher of the year hall of fame after multiple awards. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and has memberships in several medical associations including the American Medical Association, American Urological Association, Minnesota Medical Association, Minnesota Urological Society, the Society of Urologic Oncology, and the Society Internationale d’Urologie.
