All Ski Levels
Located 3 miles from downtown Aspen, the terrain options at Aspen Highlands are appropriate for any level. Although famed for steep black and double-black-diamond terrain, there are actually more green and blue runs. The Highland Bowl is great for the views, steeps, glades, and gentle cruisers. Aspen Highlands has 131 trails and 5 lifts.

Aspen Mountain
Intermediate & Expert Skiers Only
Aspen Mountain offers excellent intermediate to double-black legendary terrain with 76 trails and 8 lifts, all within walking distance of downtown Aspen. Head over to the Ruthie’s side of the mountain where World Cup races are held. Experience the same terrain that’s been skied by the world’s best. The top of the mountain has plenty of blue groomed cruisers for intermediates or take one of the steep, bump runs right into the town of Aspen.

All Ski Levels
Located within the White River National forest adjacent to Snowmass Village and 9 miles from Aspen, Snowmass is known as one of the best family ski areas in North America. Snowmass is huge with 88 trails, 22 lifts and over 3,100 acres of every type of terrain - gentle cruisers, scary steeps, glades, above-timberline bowls. However, Snowmass is best known for its long, wide-open, groomed cruising runs.

Beginner & All Ski Levels
Located 3 miles from downtown Aspen, Buttermilk is the quintessential learners' mountain known for smooth, rolling trails and includes a smaller teaching park for those just learning. Home of the ESPN Winter X Games through 2007, Buttermilk also has numerous intermediate and advanced runs as well as a terrain park and halfpipe for advanced snowboarders. Buttermilk has 44 trails and 9 lifts.
